There are several ways to help our cause. Fostering animals (mainly in Aruba), volunteering with us in Aruba, donating money or supplies and/or transporting carriers or our rescues to their forever homes.

Please join in, so we can save more animals!

Transport our rescues

Are you traveling to the U.S. or Canada from Aruba? Please contact us, we might need your help!

Getting our rescues to their new homes is a challenge. We are in desperate need of people traveling from Aruba who are willing to take one of more of our furry rescues to their families!

Puppies, kittens and cats can travel in the passenger compartment (weight limit 20 lbs).

Currently there are only two airlines willing to transport adult dogs: American Airlines and Delta Airlines (Delta not during the summer).

We will arrange everything; provide the carrier or crate, necessary paperwork, pay the airline fee (varies depending on the airline) and meet you at the airport with your traveling-companion.

The adoptive family will be waiting for you on the other end! Transporting is one of the most valuable ways to make a difference.

Bring supplies

Want to enjoy a vacation in Aruba and combine it with your love for animals? Feel free to reach out to us!

We have crates and carriers in the U.S. that need to be taken back to Aruba. Of course, donating supplies while enjoying your vacation in Aruba is very much appreciated too!

A few things we can always use are:

  • Mainly puppy and kitten harnesses, collars and leashes — fewer for adult dogs and cats
  • Food bowls
  • Panacur deworming, Nexguard, rescue remedy (pets), composure, Nutrical, flea and tick treatments (Stronghold, Revolution, Frontline combo, Certifect) etc .
  • Travel carriers and crates (mainly medium and large, airline approved)
  • Toys
  • Puppy sweaters
  • Sample size, individually wrapped, dog, puppy and cat food (U.S. made only) for travel purposes.
  • Pee pads
  • Foldable litter boxes (for traveling)
  • Dog and cat beds
  • Crate beds

Volunteering for Sgt. Pepper’s Friends is possible! We can use all the support we can get. Lodging, air fare, car rental, etc. are at your own expense.

We could use your help with: rescuing animals, taking rescues to the vet, visiting foster families and providing supplies, foster rescues (if accommodation allows), see our rescues off at the airport, etc.

We promise it will be worth it. Rescuing animals is one of the most rewarding things there is!

Apply to be a volunteer

We are currently rescuing mainly from Aruba and we are always in need of families in Aruba who are willing to foster.

A foster home is a short-term safe place for a rescued dog or cat. By fostering you are giving the animal a wonderful quality of life and preparing him/her for a new home.

You make sure the animal is loved, taken care of, socialized, goes to the veterinarian, etc. We pay for the food, the veterinarian, and provide toys, food bowls and other necessary supplies.

Puppies and kittens are preferably fostered with their siblings (two, three or more). This is better for their socialization and is less stressful.

We do not mix litters, since the risk of spreading diseases (like parvo) is too great.

Fostering is not much different than taking care of your own pets. Saying goodbye is the hardest part of the process, but you’re contributing to saving a life and getting pictures and updates from their new families is the best reward there is.

Please fill in our application if you’re interested in fostering for us!

Organize an event

Organizing an event (yoga class, charity walk, fundraiser) and gathering supplies or donations is also an excellent way to help Sgt. Pepper’s Friends. Rescuing animals costs lots of money and we are always in need of supplies. Reach out to us with your ideas and together we can change the world for a lot of animals!
